Christopher Vogler’s The Writers Journey- Note Taking

As a team we need to read Christopher Vogler’s book ‘The Writers Journey’ By Monday. We decided as a team to read and take notes of assigned chapters and then fill in the rest of the time with these notes so that we wouldn’t need to read the full book. However, what we didn’t realise is just how much of his book is informative, when taking notes i felt like i might as well have just rewritten entire chapters as all information seemed important and note worthy.

We decided to do 3 chapters each of each book, which meant six chapters in total. I was to read and note Book 1- Hero,Mentor- Wise Old Men or Women and Threshold Guardian. In book 2 i was to read Meeting with the Mentor, Crossing the First Threshold and Tests, Allies, Enemies.

Below are my notes on these chapters. I did genuinely find this book interesting (with the chapters i have read) i will probably continue to read the whole book (without note taking) out of personal interest.
